All six Waldport City Councilors will keep their seats. With 95% of the votes counted and a 37% voter turnout the recall of the six city councilors has failed. Tony Thimakis the recall organizer, said he was very disapointed in the voter turnout. On June 2, 2026, the Lincoln County Clerk, Amy Southwell, confirmed that the recall petitions against all six Waldport City Councilors. Ballots were due in by 8pm Monday July 13. The second unofficial count will be done by Tuesday July 14th at 5pm.

The recall results for the six City Councilors were Greg Dunn, who had 299 yes to 363 no, Rick Booth who had 265 yes and 401 no, Susan Woodruff who had 269 yes and 400 no, Jayme Morris, 270 yes and 363 no, Michelle Severson 259 yes and 406 no and Jerry Towsend who had 278 yes and 384 no votes. The reasons for the recall mostly stemmed from when the city council approved removing the Mayor from office in April, 2025. She was later re-instated to her position by Judge Bachart in May. Since that time there have been continued disagreements regarding the former Beach Combers committee, city audits, lack of trust in oversight of the city manager and public transparency.

Three Waldport City Council seats—held by Susan Woodruff, Rick Booth, and Michelle Severson—along with the mayor's office, are already scheduled for election in November 2026 as their terms expire at the end of the year. The remaining council seats held by Greg Dunn, Jayme Morris, and Jerry Townsend are not scheduled to expire until December 2028. The city council seats are 4-year terms, and the Mayor is a 2-year term. Thimakis said he was disappointed; however, "We've brought awareness to the community, and I hope people continue to get involved and we have an opportunity to create change in the fall."
